报告人简介：Demercil de Souza Oliveira Jr. received the B.Sc. and MSc. degrees in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1999, 2001), and the Dr. degree in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2004), Brazil. Since 2005, he has been a Professor with the Federal University of Ceará, Brazil, where he was the coordinator of the undergraduate and graduate programs in electrical engineering. He has also been the coordinator of R&D projects, and acted as the advisor/co-advisor of 28 M.Sc. students and 11 Ph.D. Students. He is the author of 51 scientific papers published in many prestigious journals and more than 132 scientific papers in the main conferences in the field of power electronics. In 2009 he received the Innovation Santander Award in the Industry Category and advised the group of undergraduate students who won the Outstanding Innovation Award in the Future Energy Challenge, sponsored by IEEE. He also advised the student who was awarded with the CNPQ Young Scientist Prize in 2010. In 2020 and 2021 he was the Editor in Chief of the Brazilian Power Electronics Journal (Revista Eletrônica de Potência). Currently, he is IEEE senior member, a recognized researcher by CNPq and received of productivity grant level 1C and President of the Brazilian Society of Power Electronics (SOBRAEP). His research interests include soft switching, power converters applied to photovoltaic and wind energy conversion systems, solid-state transformers, and electric vehicles.
